The Hudson River : Creative Currents
I was introduced to the storied banks of the Hudson River 33 years ago near Bear Mountain with a bunch of fellow, adventurous college students from Brooklyn on a day-trip to do some outdoor painting. Since then, I have always thought of the Hudson River as a special place that is not only a grand, dynamic landscape, but also a witness to centuries of human history. Inspiration seems endless. This is a thread of my small plein air paintings (from 2015 to present) which includes the Hudson River in every composition. I explore different viewpoints, seasons, weather, light effects, and geological and architectural elements.- "Fort Tryon Park" Acrylic on panel 11x14 inches 2023
